An explosive increase in e-commerce sales left the Covid-19 pandemic in Chile. Not long ago, #MercadoLibre released its third-quarter net income on #WallStreet with US$1,115.7 million in the 18 countries where it operates, a year-on-year increase of 85% as a result of the health crisis.

Another example was Falabella's 3Q20 results, which exceeded market estimates and also showed positive numbers for the E-commerce business. Online penetration reached 29% of sales, compared to 36% in 2Q20, but this was due to an increase in mobility, as a result of the #EconomicReopening process. The company is also making progress with its digital financial platform, which generated more than 50% of financial product sales during the quarter.

#WalmartChile managed to increase its sales 10 times compared to the beginning of 2020. How do they manage to make their operation more efficient? Uber Eats, for example, orders its entire operation in order to avoid downtime for delivery drivers going to pick up food. It then sends messages to the customer to "calm their anxiety", pinpointing the location of the delivery driver through online monitoring of the entire process.
