In the latest version of Bloomberg' s March ranking, Norway ranks first, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Ireland and Denmark. On the other hand , the three worst countries out of the 53 evaluated are Hong Kong, Russia and Pakistan. And Chile? Ranked 18th and, although down three places from the previous ranking, it is the best-placed Latin American country.
The ranking considers several factors under three headings: progress in openness, pandemic status and quality of life. Chile does best in vaccination (ranking second after the United Arab Emirates) and worst in commercial flight capacity (variation in the last four weeks compared to the same period before the pandemic).
