India's equity market capitalization stood at around US$3.5 trillion at the end of October, putting it close to overtaking the UK stock market and moving into the top five largest equity markets in the world. The Indian stock market capitalization has grown by almost 40% so far this year, driven by investor interest. India's stock market is seen as one of great growth potential, with a significant presence of technology companies. The policy environment is also well evaluated by investors.

India has been an active IPO market during 2021. As of mid-October, 44 placements had been made (you can see the list here Top IPOs in 2021 in India at NSE, BSE - IPO Central) to which several more were added in recent weeks.

Goldman Sachs estimates that India's stock market capitalization could reach US$5 trillion by 2024, with some US$400 billion of market value that could be added from new IPOs in the next two to three years.
