Pets are entering the digital world. Pawiis, a Chilean start-up, saw an opportunity in the world of pet care and created a management platform for pet care professionals, such as veterinarians and groomers, who can use it to automate their operations. Pawiis also functions as a marketplace for consumers to buy online products prescribed or recommended by professionals, from medicines to food.

The company, which has received capital contributions from angel investors and Corfo's Ignite accelerator, closed a new round of capitalization to prepare its entry into the Peruvian market.
