B’ Companies

Independent certification is key

For a couple of decades, Responsible and Impact Investments have been gaining prominence among consumers and investors, due to the greater commitment and demand for more sustainable ecosystems, less unequal communities and more transparent companies.

Within this scope are the B™ Companies, which use the strength and capacity of business to develop a more inclusive and sustainable economy, meeting triple impact standards, i.e., in terms of social, environmental and corporate responsibility. These companies as a whole work to reduce inequality, reduce poverty levels, promote a healthier environment, strengthen communities and create high quality jobs with dignity and purpose.

These companies are certified by Sistema B, an organization that promotes different economic actors throughout the world to build an economy in which success and financial benefits are not the only goal of their businesses, but also include the social and environmental wellbeing of communities within their objectives.

It may be easy to declare oneself as a socially and environmentally responsible company, in fact, it is something that some companies have used to attract consumers, but they do not really measure the impact and end up being marketing strategies of the "greenwashing" type. This is why the Sistema B initiative was created to rigorously measure the impact and responsibility of companies, providing certification to those that comply with impact performance in five categories: suppliers, workers, customers, community and environment. It is important to emphasize that these companies are constantly reevaluated and make a commitment to continuous improvement, with the purpose of generating a positive impact at the core of their business models.

Today there are more than 3,990 Certified B Corporations® in the world and more than 690 in Latin America, distributed in various industries of the economy of the different countries, with significant growth in recent years.

This certification helps consumers to identify companies with positive impact purposes and investors to choose investments that are aligned with their values. The FYNSA Migrante Fund invests in Fintech Migrante, a Certified B Company® that provides credit and financing opportunities to migrants, who would have virtually no access to financing if it were not for this company.
