Looking at the first six months of 2022, the FYNSA Total Return fund posted the best return among Chilean equity mutual funds according to the ranking published by El Mercurio Inversiones, with a return of 25.53% for the period. Meanwhile, the IPSA posted a return of 14.9% over the same period, highlighting the fund’s strong performance as it outperformed the index by more than 10%.  

The FYNSA Total Return Fund’s investment portfolio consists of stocks selected through a rigorous screening process. The fund’s core philosophy is to maintain an active strategy, selecting a portfolio that differs from that of the indices, taking advantage of the nature of the Chilean stock market, where some companies are heavily covered, while others are covered very little. This allows the fund to be selective and generate value. 

The strategy includes, among other considerations, identifying growth catalysts in companies —not just a low stock price—and thereby unlock value for shareholders and, furthermore, consider the dividend yield.
