The market capitalization of the world’s leading tech companies—Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon—ranks in the trillions (millions of millions) of dollars. If they were countries, their “GDP” would be among the largest on the planet. The software company MacKeeper compared these figures to illustrate the size of these companies. For example, Apple would be the eighth-largest economy in the world, surpassing countries such as Italy, Brazil, and Canada, while Microsoft would be the tenth-largest, Amazon the fifteenth, and Alphabet the sixteenth.
