The best countries for retirement

As usual, the Nordic nations are at the top of the annual Natixis ranking.

As it does every year, the investment bank Natixis published its ranking of the best countries in which to retire. This year Natixis highlights an improvement in the general conditions to face retirement, given the decline in inflation and the increase in interest rates, among other factors. However, the study found a number of concerns among respondents, mainly about the potential impact of inflation on their retirement. So much so that, while 56% of respondents believe they will have enough retirement to live comfortably, the other 44% have a pessimistic view, including 21% who believe they will have to continue working and 12% who believe they will have to rely on family and friends to be able to cover their expenses once they retire.

This year, the Nordic countries the Nordic countries are once again at the top of the Natixis ranking as the best places to retire, taking into account factors such as financial environment, health expenses and life expectancy, material well-being and quality of life. Norway repeats for the second year in first place, followed by Switzerland. In the top ten, all countries repeat except the Czech Republic, which drops out of the top ten and is replaced by Germany, which ranks ninth.

Regarding Latin America, Chile is the best ranked country, in 35th place, followed by Mexico in 40th place, Colombia in 41st place and Brazil in 43rd place. You can see the ranking and its analysis here.
