Jeff Bezos's company prepares to offer satellite internet

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who founded the aerospace company Blue Origin, is known for his love of space, in a parallel career with Tesla founder Elon Musk, who founded SpaceX and provides space transportation services for NASA. Well, Bezos has decided to compete with Musk in another business in outer space: satellite internet. Amazon announced the launch by the end of 2022 of the first satellites of the Kuiper project, which seeks to deploy a constellation of low orbit satellites to offer high speed and broadband internet services. Amazon's project comes in addition to Starlink, the high-speed satellite internet service launched this year by SpaceX.

Both projects will address a growing problem created by the satellite industry: minimizing their impact on astronomical observations, a critical point given that each project considers placing hundreds of satellites in orbit.
