Another Chilean startup sets its sights on the Mexican market. Medismart, a digital health platform, raised US$6 million a few weeks ago in a financing round involving two international funds. Medismart will use the funds to finance its entry into the Mexican market, continuing its internationalization.

The startup began in early 2020 as a telemedicine platform, but expanded its services to areas such as obtaining medical prescriptions, referring medical tests, pharmacy quotes, and veterinary services, among others. It offers subscription-based medical services through personal or corporate plans. The company operates in Colombia and Bolivia and is entering the markets of Peru and Ecuador. It claims to have 2 million users. With fresh resources, its next big leap is the Mexican market.
