Another Chilean startup is eyeing the Mexican market. Medismart, a digital health platform, raised US$6 million a few weeks ago in a financing round in which two international funds participated. The resources will be used by Medismart to finance its entry into the Mexican market, continuing its internationalization.

The startup began in early 2020 as a telemedicine platform, but expanded its services to areas such as obtaining medical prescriptions, referrals for medical exams, pharmacy quotes and veterinary services, among others. It offers subscription-based medical services through personal or corporate plans. The company operates in Colombia and Bolivia and is entering the Peruvian and Ecuadorian markets and claims to have 2 million users. With fresh resources, its next big leap is the Mexican market.
