Chilean startup Betterfly closed a new investment round, raising US$60 million (more than Cornershop and NotCo raised in the same investment stage), and becoming the Latin American insurtech with the highest valuation in the region: US$300 million. This new leverage comes six months after raising US$18 million in December 2020, reaching a total investment of US$80 million over three rounds, This also makes the Chilean Chile's Chilean insurtech with the largest investment raised in Latin America.

Founded in 2018 by Eduardo and Cristobal della Maggiora, the Chilean insurtech offers an all-in-one digital benefits platform to employees of companies of any size that rewards their healthy habits with life insurance whose coverage grows at no cost, in addition to social donations to different causes. The platform includes benefits such as telemedicine, psychological support, nutritionist, virtual fitness, meditation, and financial and wellness education.

The operation included the participation of DST Global partners, QED investors, Valor Capital, Endeavor Catalyst and Softbank, a Japanese fund that for the first time invests in a Chilean venture and in an insurtech in the region.
