Work without borders

Pandemic has changed the way we look at job opportunities

Shared service centers and contact centers began to blur service boundaries many years ago. From an agent in Colombia answering the customer service phone for a Chilean consumer's request to an expert in Santiago in charge of compensation for several companies located in several countries. But, in the wake of the pandemic, this phenomenon has taken hold at the micro level, with the worker's place of residence becoming less important for a growing number of positions. According to a study by Boston Consulting Group, The Network and Laborum.com carried out in Chile in March this year, 75% of those surveyed are willing to work for an employer located outside the country. The phenomenon has taken off so well that it led Laborum to organize the Expo Bumeran fair, in which 60 companies from different Latin American countries offered job opportunities to foreigners and locals, most of them with the option of teleworking.
