How can Chile join the electromobility revolution? A local startup, Voltera (http://voltera.cl/), saw an opportunity and launched a concept for selling electric vehicles with comprehensive services (charging, insurance, and maintenance), while also focusing on EVs that meet Chinese standards. The business was founded in 2019 with a focus on serving bus fleets in Santiago, but it has expanded to corporate fleets and, starting this month, to the private consumer market, offering 13 models from four brands. With 50 EVs already on the road in Chile, Voltera has completed two rounds of funding.
