Home or office?

The hybrid model seems to be gaining ground

With the reopening of the economy and the partial easing of the mobility restrictions imposed by the pandemic, it’s time to adapt to new work routines. What do employees think about remote work versus working in person at the office? The shared workspace company WeWork and the research firm Workplace Intelligence conducted an anonymous survey to gauge the perceptions of companies and employees regarding the return to normalcy. Some of the results are surprising. For example, 64% of employees would pay for access to an office space, and 75% would give up at least one benefit in exchange for the freedom to choose their work environment. Meanwhile, 79% of companies plan to allow their employees to split their time between the office and remote work, if their role permits it, while 76% say they will likely provide their employees with a stipend to work from home or rent a coworking space.
