It is estimated that in 2022 there were around 579,000 people in the world considered to be ultra high net worth, i.e. with a net worth of more than US$30 million. What are they invested in? The bulk - 32% on average - is invested in first and second homes, with an average of 3.7 homes for every individualAccording to the report prepared by the real estate advisory firm Knight Frank, based on a survey of half a thousand wealth managers around the world, the bulk - 32% on average - is invested in first and second homes, with an average of 3.7 homes per individual.

The next asset in which they hold their investments is equities, which represent 18% of their wealth. Americans invest the most in stocks (one third of their wealth). Next in importance are investments in commercial real estate (14%) and bonds (12%). But not all of these are pure and simple assets. So-called passion investments, which include objects such as works of art, watches, wine and classic cars, account for 3% of the wealth of the ultra-rich.
