During the pandemic, traffic in Latin American cities was reduced, although many of them have continued to have high levels of congestion. Which of them has the greatest traffic problems?

ANSWER

Bogotá. According to the Tomtom application, the capital city of Colombia remains the city with the highest traffic congestion in the region, with a congestion level in 2021 of 55% (i.e. the average travel time is 55% longer than in normal conditions). (this means that the average travel time is 55% longer than in normal traffic conditions). It was followed by Lima, Recife and Santiago.. In any case, congestion levels in 2021 remained below those recorded before the pandemic. It remains to be seen how they will be in 2022, after the end of the confinements.
