Spring has arrived in the southern hemisphere and with it the desire to enjoy a refreshing beer. Do you know which Latin American country has the highest per capita beer consumption?

Panama. According to a study by the Asian liquor giant Kirin Holdings, Panamanians in 2021 drank 71.7 liters of beer per head. In the region, they were followed by Brazil, with 67.9 liters, Mexico, with 66.5, and Chile with 55. Latin American countries are far from the consumption registered in other markets. Panama ranks 20th globally. The highest consumption of beer in the world is recorded in the Czech Republic, with 184.1 liters per person, followed by Austria, Lithuania and Romania.
