Which passport is the most powerful in the world?

Chile, with access to 174 countries, ranks 16th and is at the top of the most powerful Latin American passports.

Asian countries take this year's ranking prepared by the immigration consulting firm Henley & Partners. The measurement is based on the number of countries to which a passport allows entry without a visa or with a visa processed upon entry. This year, Japan ranks first, with easy access to 193 countries, followed by Singapore and South Korea, with access to 192 countries, and Germany, with 190.

Chile, with access to 174 countries, ranks 16th and leads the list of the most powerful Latin American passports. It is followed in the region by Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.

At the bottom of the ranking are Syria, Iran and Afghanistan, with access to only 30, 29 and 27 countries.
