Venture Capital: Event brings together industry leaders, addressing trends from Galgo's successful model

Promoting innovation and exploring new opportunities in the Venture Capital sector was the objective of the event "Innovation & Opportunities in the Venture Capital Industry", organized by Fynsa, in collaboration with Galgo.

The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, September 10 at the Hyatt Centric hotel, brought together leading industry professionals and leaders to discuss emerging trends and future projections for venture capital. The speakers were Cristián Donoso, general manager of Fynsa AGF, and Diego Fleischmann, CEO of Galgo. Both shared their perspectives on the current state of the market and the opportunities ahead.

A space for innovation

Cristián Donoso opened the session with a presentation on the AGF and its commitment to Galgo, fintech Chilean fintech that provides loans to people without access to bank credit to buy vehicles -mainly motorcycles- that allow them to access the labor market and thus raise their quality of life.

He pointed out, among other things, that since the beginning of this project, Fynsa AGF has participated in the structuring of the Fynsa Galgo II investment fund,Fynsa AGF has participated in the structuring of the investment fund Fynsa Galgo II (formerly Migrante), raising more than US$ 30 million.The fund manager has bet on Galgo's success, supporting them in their growth, always focusing on the profitability and sustainability of the business.

Fynsa and Galgo have a strategic collaborative relationship, focusing on expanding and strengthening their operations in Latin America.

Diego Fleischmann shared Galgo's vision of how companies can take advantage of opportunities in today's market. This, based on the fintech company's own experience. fintech and how it has been able to grow and position itself in the region.

He said that despite global economic challenges, there are numerous opportunities for those willing to innovate and take calculated risks. "Venture capital is a crucial driver of innovation and economic growth. It is critical that we continue to support startups and emerging companies," he said.

Growth and expansion

The event included an opportunity for sharing, where attendees interacted directly with the speakers on topics ranging from investment strategies to Galgo's plans and projections. In this line, the CEO of the fintech emphasized the importance of staying informed and adapting to changing market trends.

Regarding the key challenges on the road to Galgo's growth and expansion, Fleischmann highlighted risk management; competition; regulation and compliance; social impact and sustainability; and international expansion, to name a few.

"These challenges require a well-defined strategy and effective execution so that Galgo can continue to grow and fulfill its mission," emphasized Diego Fleischmann, while inviting people to continue to learn about and invest in Galgo.

Galgo, a company with social impact

Galgo, formerly known as Migrante Sociedad Financiera, is a Chilean fintech founded in 2018. It offers financing to underbanked individuals. Over time, it expanded its services to include financing for high-value assets, such as motorcycles and cars, facilitating job opportunities and income generation for its clients. In May 2023, it changed its name to Galgo to reflect its evolution and expansion in Latin America, currently operating in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.
