ArcomedLab: synthetic implants think in Chile

A unique technique in the world that makes craniofacial implants more affordable

Share

ArcomedLab, a Chilean healthtech company that developed a technology for 3D printing synthetic craniofacial implants, is planning to enter the Japanese market. The company, founded by dentist Marcos Skarmeta and prosthodontist Ilan Rosenberg in 2018, has developed a unique technique in which, using a three-dimensional scanner, they generate an image with which they design and print customized implants on a 3D printer.

This technology significantly reduces the price of implants and the time it takes for them to become available. The startup already has more than 400 implants installed in Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Spain. Its plan now is to expand into Japan.
