Buk has been one of the most notable success stories among Chilean startups that have recently launched.
Founded in 2017, Buk is a technology platform for human resources management that already operates in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia, as well as Chile. In a challenging financial environment, Buk managed to raise $35 million in capital in February, with contributions from the VC firms Base10—which has funded well-known Latin American unicorns such as Rappi and Nowports—and Greenoaks.
With this round of funding, Buk's valuation reaches $500 million, halfway to achieving unicorn status. The startup will use the capital to consolidate its current international operations and enter the Brazilian market.
