Now, a French circus run by a husband and wife team of two former animal tamers is turning to technology to carry on the tradition: To jugglers, tightrope walkers, magicians and other performers it is adding wild animals in the form of holograms.. In addition to the holograms, all the energy it consumes comes from renewable sources, it has eliminated plastics in the sweets and drinks it sells, and its performers avoid flying to get around.

After the pandemic, L'Ecocirque has resumed this year its tour in France, but still with capacity restrictions. Will this new model succeed? It remains to be seen, but its owners believe that there is no turning back and that this will be the path through which the circus show will be transformed.
