Passwords have always been a headache for users, complicating the task of protecting personal information. Forgetting them, managing them or making them secure is no easy task. However, a new solution arrives to transform this scenario: now, images can be used as secure and easy-to-remember passwords.

Developed by the Spanish startup Secrets Vaultthis technology, presented at the Mobile World Congress 2025 (Barcelona), employs advanced cryptography to convert any image -from a selfie to a vacation photo - into a unique password. Best of all, the image is not modified, allowing it to be stored on devices such as phones, computers or in the cloud, without compromising security.

In addition, the option to combine the image with a PIN adds an extra layer of protection, without losing the ease of use. As explained by Gerard Cervelló, CEO of Secrets Vaultexplains, this solution simplifies password management and makes information protection more intuitive and accessible to any user.

The system is now available in a free version for testing, and can be accessed from any device through its website through its website. This breakthrough promises to revolutionize the way we protect our data, making it much more secure and easier to remember than traditional passwords.

The introduction of images as passwords marks a milestone in digital security. This technology not only improves data protection, but also responds to the need to simplify the password management process in an increasingly digitized world.
